One thing that surprised me about Pokémon TCG Pocket is how much time it can take to build even a single solid deck. You might have most of the pieces, but missing just one or two key cards can hold everything back.
I ran into this exact problem and got tired of waiting for the right pulls. That’s when I decided to try buying cards instead, and I ended up using U4GM.com. It was a pretty smooth experience overall.
What I appreciated most was the convenience. Instead of grinding daily or relying on RNG, I could just get what I needed and move on. It made deck-building feel more intentional rather than random.
It also helped me stay motivated. When progress feels too slow, it’s easy to lose interest. But being able to complete decks faster kept things exciting and gave me more reasons to keep playing.
Another bonus is being able to test different builds. Without access to specific cards, you’re kind of limited in what you can try. Having more options opens up a lot of possibilities.
I think it really comes down to how you like to play. Some people enjoy the grind, while others prefer a more direct approach. For me, having both options made the game much better.
Has anyone else switched strategies like this, or are you still sticking to pack openings only?
